Asian Ceremony Traditions

With teenagers and their toddlers embracing culture and tradition, more lovers than ever before are turning to the Eastern location for their huge moment. Whether it’s an Indian or Korean American ceremony, the ceremonies are a lovely way for families to join with their traditions and complete on divine traditions.

One of the most important wedding traditions is the circling of the divine blaze, which translates to „your aspirations for happiness and commitment to your family are encircled by this fire“. This festival is usually conducted in front of the bride and groom’s kids before they take their pledges.

Another popular ritual is paying value to the woman’s elders, which is done by the wife preparing meal for her new husband’s household the day after their marriage. This is a means for the bride to show her gratitude to her in- legislation and to ask for their gifts.

The wife would also visit her own kids for supper a few days after her bridal to congratulate them for raising her and give them a donation as a form of cheers.

In the past, when Chinese couples were engaged, the groom had to pay the bride price, which was usually in the form of money, gifts or a roasted pig. The bride’s family then wished the couple a long and prosperous marriage. Tea was also served as a betrothal gift, as it is believed that the evergreen nature of the plant signifies longevity.
